• The object of the study to be commissioned is the restoration and reuse of the building owned by the Hellenic Open University located at 15 Shaktouri Street in Patras and its emergence as a landmark building for the city and with the aim of covering the research and administrative needs of the Foundation. The building in question is one of the most important neoclassical preserved buildings in the city. By unanimous opinion of the Central Council of Newer Monuments (with no. 16/11.6.92), it has been designated as a work of art, because it is a typical example of an urban residence in the area, whose morphological and typological structure is characterized by the proportional relationship of plasticity and solidity and the eurhythmy of its oncoplastic shaping (Government Gazette 535/B/21.08.1992). It is located in the historical part of the city of Patras on a plot of land with a total area of ​​467.40 sq.m. It consists of two floors (ground floor, first floor) and an attic with a total area of ​​780.05 sq.m. The study includes an architectural study footprint, architectural building restoration study, passive and active fire protection study, building energy efficiency study, static footprint study, static adequacy check, building reinforcement study, maintenance and restoration study of the ceiling decoration and all other morphological and decorative elements, study of water supply, drainage, fire fighting, fire detection, strong, sick, lightning protection-grounding, air conditioning - ventilation, etc. ...
