Description:
The purpose of the study Operational plan of anti-flooding works for a section of Pinios from the confluence with Pamisos to the narrow upstream of Amygdalia and its tributaries is to properly and fully deal with the problem of the risk of floods and disasters in the wider area around the central part of P. Pinios from the confluence with Pamisos to the narrow upstream of Amygdalia as well as the area of the lowland part of its main tributaries.
The study will be in full compliance with Greek and Community Legislation on flood risk management and related SDCP and is essentially an implementation of the measure in the approved SDCP EL_08_35_02 Integrated Planning of flood protection projects (Master Plan). The study will expand and deepen the under approval 1st Revision of the River Basin Flood Risk Management Plan Apartment of Thessaly specifically for the study area so that:
•To obtain a clear and complete picture of the current situation and the problems that exist regarding flood protection.
• To formulate proposals for the additional projects and interventions required for adequate flood protection.
• To derive the required planning and priorities of studies and construction projects, based on technical, economic, social and environmental criteria.
