Description:
The Open Architectural Competition concerns the preparation of a study for the regeneration of the city center of Aridaia, an area of 24 square meters, an area defined by: they include Setsku Square and platSetskou Street (OT 44a),
-IKA Square (OT 117),
-Andrianoupoleos Street up to the height of Ag. Georgiou including the parking area,
-Olympiados Street up to the height of Ag. Georgiou,
-Ionos Dragoumi Street up to the height of Ag. Georgiou,
-the streets that enclosethe OT 36a including the OT. 36a,
-the streets around the designated green space in Loch. Passia with the green space and
-the streets that enclose the O.T. 112a (the section of Chrysostomou Smyrna covers up to the junction with Lohagou Papadopoulou Street)
Setskou Square (Central plateia) is the reference point of the city. There one meets the building of the old city hall. It is spatially and functionally connected a) to the pedestrianized "shopping" center of Aridaia where the city's dining areas are also developed and b) to the area of the public market. On the setthere is a fountain and large plane trees. It is a busy place of movement and meeting of the city's residents and visitors due to its centrobaric location.
