- The General Secretariat of Natural Environment and Waters/General Directorate of Waters is responsible for the implementation of the Framework Directive for the Marine Strategy (Directive 2008/56/EC). Within the framework of this contract, its 2nd update will be drawn up program of measures aimed at achieving or maintaining the Good Environmental Status of the Country's Marine Waters. In addition, for the four selected gulfs, Corinthian, Thermaic, Saronic and Pagasitic, a detailed evaluation, review and updating of the Program of Measures, adapted to the special needs and requirements of the marine ecosystem of the above areas. Maritime Strategy Actions: Update-Review of Programs Measures Subject of the 2nd update of the Program of Measures, in accordance with the specifications of Directive 2008/56/EC, pursuant to Law 3983/2011, as amended and in force, are: Development of methodologies for 1) the evaluation of effectiveness of measures, 2) gap analysis 3) cost-benefit analysis. Evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of the existing Program of Measures in conjunction with the state of marine waters as reflected in the current review report of good environmental status in marine waters.
