Description: The I. Monastery of Ag Dionysiou Strofades is located in the island complex of Strofades of the Ionian Sea and occupies an area of 1,750 m2. It has been designated as a historical monument, with a protection zone of the whole island, because it is very important and very rare for the Greek area, a monumental complex of Venetian architecture. The monument is located in a highly seismic area and has been damaged over the centuries often by earthquakes. After a strong earthquake in 2018, there were collapses in the buildings of the cell wings and the parapet of the south wall of the tower, local detachments of side stone structures, cracks, deformations and small movements of the masonry and vault of the buildings.
