The object of the contract is to protect Public Health in the Peloponnese Region andai the reduction of the nuisance caused by mosquitoes, with the implementation of the program (Sub-project 1) entitled "Integrated Mosquito Control Program, Creation of a Control Structure and Development of a West Nile Virus Surveillance and Vigilance Mechanism, in the Peloponnese Region" cfor the years 2024-2025, for the treatment-management of insect vectors (mosquitoes), with the assistance of the implementation of a program of surveillance and systematic supervision of the circulation of the West Nile (WNV) to prevent the occurrence of epidemic phenomena of diseases, throughout the Regionlet .
The scope of the program is the natural, rural, peri-urban and urban system of the Municipalities of the Regional Units of Argolis, Arcadia, Corinthia, Laconia, Messinia and includes all the required services/works such as:
•Operational Planning.
•Mappingof the potential foci of reproduction of the insect vectors
•Monitoring of larval populations, through continuous periodic sampling.
•Delineation of Surfaces for spraying and Conducting larvicide applications from the ground and from the air
