- The project concerns the implementation of short-term interventions in places of reduced road safety of the national road network under the jurisdiction of the Region of Crete. More specifically, these interventions include upgrading and replacing road equipment, such as striping, horizontal markings andvertical, marking signs, pavement reflectors, safety barriers, IT installations, electrical lighting works, etc. Also, locally, it is planned to complete and reconstruct the infrastructure, such as repairing damage to the pavement, replacing the old surface asphalt layer with a new anti-slipfilling in support material, cleaning-formation of an existing triangular ditch, cleaning of an area to increase visibility (removal of obstacles and deforestation of zones that obstruct visibility), etc. The physical object of Ministry 1, according to the approved study, is the construction of the necessaryworks to improve the road safety of PEO90 (Kastelli Kissamos to Kalo Chorio Lasithiou)
