Description:
The contract irrigation works are divided into:
1. In the irrigation projects of the Amvrakia - Amfilochia region, which include irrigation water transport and distribution projects and the related drainage, draining - flood protection projects, from the water transport canal under construction west of Achelouto the lakeside areas of Amvrakia - Amfilochia. Thirteen (13) separate irrigation networks are proposed that will irrigate a gross area of 12,760 acres or a net area of about 11,500 acres and will be fed from the Canal with a total flow of 0.86 m3/min for 18 hours of irrigation.
2. In the irrigation networkof the region of Valtos, for the irrigation of approximately 25,186 square meters of controlled area or 21,985 square meters of clean agricultural land, with the irrigation works and all the necessary accompanying drainage works - anti-flooding.
The above projects are connected to each other through the Amvrakia - Amfilochia - Valtos canal, asand of the Valtos tunnel.
