- In the program entitled "MOSQUITO MANAGEMENT IN P.E. ISLANDS OF THE REGION OF ATTICA FOR THE THIRD YEAR 2024-26" provides for the determination of actions in the areas of territorial competence of the P.E. Islands where mosquito breeding sites have been identified that require intervention, as well as the taking of measures andif possible, in cases of emergency conditions, through an integrated mosquito management system, within the framework of the responsibilities and capabilities of the Region of Attica.
The program includes monitoring outbreaks on an ongoing basis, evaluating and intervening as appropriateway every time and in every area required.
In order to protect Public Health, an attempt is made to reduce the mosquito population in order to reduce the risk of diseases transmitted by mosquito vectors.
