Description:
The purpose of a modern fire protection plan is the targeted analysis of the problem of forest fires in a specific area and then the planning of appropriate actions, actions and projects that will lead (immediately as well as in the medium term) to better forest protectionof lands in general, and consequently in the shielding from the risk of fire of settlements, buildings, industrial and other facilities and agricultural holdings located within or near them. fire historycays, as well as the existing fire protection infrastructures.
-To assess with appropriate criteria the risk of fires and the temporal and spatial determination of the individual areas with the highest risk.
-To be proposed hierarchically (in cooperation with all the agencies involved) ta projects, the actions and the collective actions that should be implemented in each individual area.
The study for the preparation of a fire protection plan for the Prefecture of Lesvos, will be drawn up by a private Forestry researcher who has a study degree in category 24 (Forestry studies) due to the lack personalof the Forest Directorate of Lesvos. The scope of a fire protection design study is the area of responsibility of the Forestry Department
