RENEWAL WITHIN THE LEFKADA CITY PLAN
The areas to be studied were among the last to be included in the expansion of the Lefkada City Plan and are known with thetoponyms "Perivolia" and "Vardania".
The majority of the streets are already open to their full width, but there are no paved sidewalks, routing networks for the blind, provision for people with disabilities, electric lighting networks and rainwater drainage networks.
The aim of the interventions is to bimproving the quality of life of the residents by upgrading the operation, image and attractiveness of the city of Lefkada.
Indicatives include
•Sustainable regeneration and management of the urban fabric,
•Environmental upgrading and promotion of free public spaces,
•Pedestrianflows within the urban fabric, green islands and redevelopment of squares
•Reduction of gaseous pollutants, strengthening of sustainable urban mobility, strengthening of accessibility for all and promotion of sustainable management of urban space
