• Description:
• The project plans to highlight the rich cultural heritage of the Religious monuments of the Holy Metropolis of Patras, through an integrated approach to digitization, documentation and digital display technologies. By recording digital monuments, exhibits and printed materials of the Holy Metropolis, an extensive digital collection of cultural documents will be created, thoroughly covering the religious tradition of the region. In addition, this action will make available a large amount of digital cultural material for the development of digital applications of the program. The technologies to be used, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D visualization and animation, and digital storytelling, will focus in the presentation of cultural material through the Internet, digital applications and applications that enhance the visitor experience. As part of the program, various applications will be developed, such as Documentation Software, Virtual Museum Application, Augmented Reality Application, Navigation Application, Educational Applications, Augmented Reality Digital Presentations, Web Viewing Portal. Ultimately, the result will be a central culture portal for the cultural wealth of the Sanctuary Diocese of Patras, hosting multi-channel digital information and education applications with possibilities for further expansion of the presented cultural material.
