Description:
The project is a PPP and includes two sub-projects which are located in the Prefecture of Lasithi in the Region of Crete. The first sub-project in the Chochlakia area concerns the construction and operation of an earthen Lake Reservoir, with its accompanying projects to help cover the irrigation needs of the existingn irrigation networks of Palaikastro and Lagada of the Municipal Unit of Itanos of the Municipality of Sitia. The second sub-project concerns the construction of the dam Ag. Ioannis Ierapetra of Lasithi Prefecture and the main irrigation water utilization projects (induction projects, distribution projects and network projectsirrigation), is part of a wider framework of proposed projects of the study of small reservoirs of the Lassithi Regional Unit to deal with the problematic hydrological balance and the lack of sufficient amounts of water required for the further development of agriculture and theουρισμού.
